Studying abroad has always been one of my biggest dreams and studying in China has fulfilled that it's a dream come true I couldn't believe it but it happened and I was so happy I couldn't wait to be here I came here I boarded on 8th September 2024 I came in very late I didn't even think I would still come but it happened and I thank God. When I landed of course the first thing I experienced was the summer heat it was so hot unlike the temperatures I was used to back in my country Kenya but soon I got used to the heat and soon classes began it was amazing to meet students from all over the world, It has led to alot of exchange of the culture and learning about other countries and making new friends has been so amazing.

One thing I was scared of from my country and all other people from my country is basically the food in china we used to hear stories when we were young that they eat everything dogs snakes you name it I thought like they didn't have any normal meal but well they did have and I adjusted slowly as I tried new things from their different cuisines but it has been amazing getting finding new foods daily because china has alot of food there is always something new to discover.

The classes have been amazing the lectures and professors teach so well they are very patient understanding.

It's been amazing getting to be taught by them and I can't wait to learn more.

One problem we have all experienced here as international students is the language barrier of course I expected the Chinese to be speaking their own language but I didnt know that they didn't know English for real otherwise I would have been ready for it but slowly we are learning their language and we shall soon be able to understand them well and learn more about their culture and maybe do some cultural exchanges here and there.

But studying in china has been really amazing everything is just so nice the technology the safety at night it's just alot that can't be mentioned in this story it needs a whole book but I can't wait to experience more that are to come my way.

But getting to study at one of the top universities in china and in the world is definitely a dream come true
