As a fresh international student at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), my professional plan is still in the initial phase, but I am laying a sound foundation for my aerospace career. I am more focused on doing well in my studies—especially in core courses like aerodynamics, materials science, and propulsion—to lay a good technical base. I also plan to engage in student clubs, research projects, and aerospace competitions to gain hands-on experience and expose myself to varied career options in aerospace engineering. In the coming years, I would want to do internships with leading aerospace companies or research organizations, such as COMAC or AVIC, to gain industry experience and hands-on skills.

Learning Mandarin and China's aviation industry know-how will also be crucial as it opens up opportunities both locally and internationally. After graduation, I see myself working in aircraft design, space technology, or drone systems and ultimately being part of greener aviation innovations. What's shaping me to be a future professional is NUAA's world-class aerospace program, which provides students with access to cutting-edge labs and industry connections. My inquisitiveness, adaptability, and willingness to learn from students and professors will also help me develop into a skilled engineer. By taking the initiative—by networking, developing skills, and staying up to date on industry trends—I am preparing for a dynamic and rewarding career in aerospace engineering.
