Journey as an International Student
Studying abroad is a life-changing experience that involves more than just going to classes in a different country. I've gained knowledge and skills beyond academics while studying in China. I now know how to handle a variety of circumstances, be responsible, and survive in a global setting. I discovered who I want to be and how I want to make a difference in the global business community as well as in my country.
Career Plans
My objective as an international student majoring in international business is to work in the financial industry or within the global business community. I want to work for multinational corporations where I can help with cross-border projects, create international market strategies, and be a part of a dynamic, diverse workplace.
After finishing my studies at NUAA, I plan to get a master’s degree to deepen my knowledge. I plan to go further into the international business or finance field. Eventually, I plan to return to my home country and contribute to its development. I want to implement the lessons I learned in China to local businesses in my country to help build a more connected and competitive economy. I've always had the goal to help the poor in my country since I was little, so finally, after the completion of my studies, I will be able to contribute.
How NUAA is Shaping Me
NUAA has played a big role in shaping me both personally and professionally. Studying at NUAA has allowed me to interact with people from all over the world. It has taught me how to navigate diverse cultures and think globally. It has improved my communication and teamwork abilities, which are critical for succeeding in global business, and it has allowed me to adjust to different environments. It has helped me understand different perspectives and approach challenges with an open mind through interaction with people from different cultures.
The academic environment here has strengthened my problem-solving skills and strategic thinking, preparing me to face and solve various challenges in the future. The experience from studying abroad has taught me how to manage life independently, form new relationships, and overcome language barriers, which has made me more adaptive and confident.
Moreover, NUAA has nurtured my leadership skills by providing opportunities to take initiative in group projects and extracurricular activities. It has deepened my understanding of teamwork and cultural diversity, and I've learnt that effective communication, patience, and empathy are necessary for efficient and productive teamwork.
In the end, NUAA has not only given me academic knowledge but also helped me become more flexible, ethical, and culturally aware.
