Growing up as a third culture kid in Nanjing, China, my journey has been anything but ordinary. I was raised at the crossroads of cultures—my Egyptian heritage at home, the Chinese environment around me, and an international school education that tied everything together.

This multicultural upbringing sparked my passion for global understanding and business from a young age. I often accompanied my parents to trade exhibitions in Shanghai and Guangzhou, where I’d observe how they navigated deals with people from completely different backgrounds. It fascinated me.

When it came time to choose where to study, staying in China felt natural. I had already built a life here—friends, language fluency, and cultural fluency. More importantly, I knew that China was becoming a hub for international trade and innovation, and I wanted to be part of that transformation. NUAA stood out because of its strong reputation in both engineering and business, as well as its international outlook. It felt like the perfect place to combine my interests in aviation, global trade, and cross-cultural communication.

Studying in China hasn’t just given me an academic degree—it has given me a platform to connect, to bridge cultures, and to prepare for a career where global thinking and local understanding go hand in hand.
